Last week I asked students to look for information about Minamata disease on the web and then write about what they found on their blogs.  先週は水俣病についてネットで調べて、わかったことなどについてブログで書く、という課題を出しました。Here are some examples of what students did. こういう投稿がありました。

  １９５３~５９年に熊本県の水俣地方で、　工業廃液による有機水銀に汚染した魚介類を食したことにより集団的に発生。６４年ごろ新潟県阿賀野川流域でも同じ病気が発生（第二水俣病と言われる）Patients began to appear in Minamata in the 1950s. In 1964, there was a similar case of mercury poisoning in Niigata.

  I saw a photo during my researching.
  A photo of Minamata Disease patient's hand and I think it was a hand of a child.
  The photo gave me a grate shock. 水俣病に体が犯された子どもの写真を見ました。大変ショックを受けました。
