Classroom change / 教室変更

Beginning tomorrow (Tuesday), we will meet in Room 114C (4th floor of Bldg. 11).  明日（火曜日）から、114C教室で授業をします。It's smaller than the room we've been using so far but, all things considered, I think it's a better choice.  今の部屋より少し狭くなりますが、ゼミ教室ですし、今の部屋よりはマシだと思います。Yoroshiku!  よろしく！

What to bring / 持ち物

Here are a few notes about what to bring on our trip this weekend.  長崎へのゼミ旅行に持ってくるものに関するメモです。

• Bring as little as possible. 持ち物を最小限にしてください。We will have to carry all of our stuff with us as we walk around on Sunday.  日曜日には、バスで帰るまでは、ずっと荷物を待たなければなりませんので、少ない方がいいです。
• An umbrella.  傘.  Unfortunately, we've gotten a little rain every year that we've gone to Nagasaki, and it looks like this year with not be an exception.  今までの長崎へのゼミ旅行では、いつも多少の雨が降っていて、今年も降りそうです。I'm happy to be able to say, however, that the forecast for Sunday is good.  しかし、嬉しいこに日曜日の予報はいいです。
• Camera. カメラ。
• About 10,000 or more if possible.  一万円、あるいは、できることなら、もっと持ってきた方がいいでしょう。I will collect 5,000 yen on the bus for the common expenses and you will need the rest for your meals and optional activities, etc.  共通費についてはバスの中で5,000をもらいます。残りのお金は食事や任意活動（稲佐山、出島）などに使うことになります。

Actually, that's all I can think of now.  今思い浮かぶのはこの程度です。They have towels in the youth hostel.  ホステルにはタオルがあります。

Saturday the 17th、17日（土曜日）

• Departure from rotary, near main entrance 正門近くのロータリーから出発 (8:00)
• Ferry フェリー (Arrive at Kumamoto Port at 8:45; 熊本港で8:45到着)
• Michi no Eki Mizunashi Honjin 道の駅みずなし本陣 (10:30-10:50)
• Lunch at Harajo Onsen Masago 原城温泉真砂で昼食 (長崎県南島原市南有馬町丁133, 0957-85-3155 (11:30 - 12:10)
• Remains of Hara Castle 原城跡 (12:20 - 1:10)
• Kuchinotsu Harbor 口之津港 (1:30 - 1:45)
• Nagasaki Catholic Center Youth Hostel カトリックセンター長崎 (3:45) We will check in and leave our bags here. チェックインして、荷物を起きます。(095-846-4246)
• Oura Cathedral, Glover Garden 大浦天主堂・グラバー園（バスが熊本に戻る）
• Shikairo (champon restaurant) or buffet at Pave　四海楼でちゃんぽんなど、またはパヴェ（095-818-8012）で夕食(6:15)
• View from Mt Inasa 稲佐山から夜景を楽しむ (8:00?; 地図/map; get off at Takaramachi Station and then walk to ropeway)
• Nagasaki Catholic Center Youth Hostel カトリックセンター長崎
 You must return no later than 11:00 PM. どんなに遅くとも11:00までに戻らなければなりません。(地図/map; get off at Matsuyamamachi Station and then walk through Peace Park; the peace statue looks very nice when it is lit up but the lights are turned off at 9 or 10)

Sunday the 18th、 18日（日曜日）

• Breakfast 朝食
 Coffee is free but food will not be provided. You must buy something to eat in the morning on Saturday. コーヒーはサービスで飲めますが、食べ物はでません。前の日にパンなどを買っておいてください。
• Urakami Cathedral / 浦上天主堂 (Early risers may attend mass until checkout at about 9:30; 早く起きる人は9:30ごろのチェックアウトの時間までミサに参加できます。)
• Peace Park / 平和公園 (We will walk there.  徒歩で行きます。)
• Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum 長崎原爆資料館 (We will walk there and remain until about 12:00.  徒歩で行き、12:00ごろまでいます。)
• Lunch and free time in Chinatown and/or Dejima.  お昼やその後のフリータイムは中華街または出島で (地図/map; get off at Tsukimachi Station to go to China Town)
• Return bus 帰りのバス (3:00発、湊公園から; Leave at 3:00 from Minato Park;  地図/map; Minato Park is at the end of China Town that is farthest from Urakami, where we stayed)
• Trip ends at Gakuendai 学園大で解散 (18:00)

Trip Costs / 旅行の費用

Here's the information I can give you now about the costs I expect.  現時点で皆さんに提示できる旅行費用に関する情報は次のとおりです。

The Saturday evening restaurant is a little expensive.  土曜の夜のレストレは少し高いですね。Click here to see the web page for this restaurant. ここをクリックすれば、このレストランのウェブ・ページを見ることができます。It is located in a very nice hotel, right next to the Oura Cathedral and Glover Garden we will visit Saturday afternoon. 土曜の午後に私たちが見る大浦天主堂やグラバー園のすぐそばの良いホテルの中にあります。In addition, you will be able to eat as much as you like, so I think it will be worth it. 更に、食べ放題になりますので、それだけの価値はあるのではないかと思います。 However, if some of you would like to go to eat at a less expensive place to save money, please let me know. しかし、お金を節約するために、もっと安いところに行きたいと思うなら、私に連絡してください。

Finally, I forgot to include this in the table of expenses but, if the weather is good, some of you may wish to take in the view of Nagasaki from Mt. Assignment / 課題

By Monday of next week, write a brief comment in our Facebook group about a topic that has come up in class. 来週の月曜日までに、今まで授業で話題になったことについてコメントなどをFacebookのグループのところに書き込んでください。It is a good idea to try to comment on the comments or other seminar members, if possible.  できれば、他のゼミ生が書いたコメントに対するコメントとして意見を書き込んでもらえればいいと思います。
