In this post, I would like to explain in writing the assignment that I described in class. この投稿では、授業で説明した課題を改めて説明したいと思います。In a nutshell, I asked the people who went with us to Minamata to write about our visit to Hot House and the people who couldn't go to find a book about Minamata disease in the library, read part of it, and write about that. 簡単にまとめると、水俣へのゼミ旅行に参加できた人にはほっとはうすの感想を書くこと、水俣へのゼミ旅行に参加できなかった人には図書館で水俣病関連の本を見つけてもらい、その一部を読んで、感想を書くこと、というのが課題となっています。Here are some more details. 下にもう少し詳しくまとめてみます。

Comments about Hot House ほっとはうすに関する感想
• I will put your comments on our class blog and also send them to Hot House. 皆さんの感想をゼミのブログにも載せますし、ほっとはうすにも送ります。 
• I'd like the exchange students to write in their native language and in Japanese, if at all possible. 留学生の皆さんにはてぎるだけ母国語と日本語で書いてほしいと思います。I would also appreciate it if the Japanese students could write a little in English, as well as in Japanese. 日本人の学生に、日本語だけでなく、英語でも書いてもらえれば助かります。

Comments about a book on Minamata Disease 水俣病に関する本に関する感想
• I don't expect you to read an entire book but I expect you to spend an hour or two reading part of a book about Minamata disease. 一冊の本を全部読む必要はありませんが、１、２時間をかけて本の一部分を読んでほしいと思います。 
• Post your comments about the book you read in our Facebook group. 読んだ本に関する感想などを私たちのFacebookのグループに投稿してください。 
• Be sure to include the title of the book, author, publisher, and year of publication in your post to Facebook 本の題、著者名、出版社、出版年もFacebookへの投稿に入れてください。
