  Spanish ship, damaged in typhoon, is washed ashore in Shikoku. 台風で重大な被害を受けたスペインの船が四国に漂着。
• 1596年12月
  The Spanish hope to ask Spanish Franciscan missionaries to help them protest the confiscation of their cargo but before they can do so, the missionaries are captured.　スペインの船の乗り組み員はフランシスコ会などスペイン系の宣教師たちに荷物の没収などに対する抗議の交渉の仲介を頼もうとしたが、先に宣教師が捕らえられる。
