The Anatomy of Dependence（『甘えの構造』）

In recent classes, we have been discussing gender. 最近のゼミでジェンダーについて話しています。 In today's class, I'd like to introduce the concept of amae because I think it will help us talk about gender issues in Japan. 今日は、「甘え」という概念を紹介したいと思います。日本におけるジェンダーについて議論する際に、この概念を 訳に立つだろうと考えています。 Today, I will ask you to perform some skits that illustrate amae.  今日は、「甘え」が見えるくるような寸劇を演じてもらいます。It is not necessary to understand amae in order to perform the skits. 寸劇を演じるために「甘え」を理解する必要はありません。The skits should help you understand it.  寸劇を通してその意味が見えてくると思います。After class, however, reading the introduction to Takeo Doi's book about the concept, should help you deepend your understanding.  授業の後に、土居健郎氏の本の最初の部分を読んでもらえれば、理解が深まるだろうと思います。
