More student comments

Here are a few more comments.  ゼミのメンバーからのコメントです。The are not all complete.  I left some parts out. 全文とは限りません。一部省略しました。

1. 日本に来てもう１年が過ぎました。来たばかりの時は、全部が面白くて心配もなしただ遊びましたけど、春学期と秋学期に学校に通って日本人友達との付き合いと勉強の難しさもありました。でも、意外だったのは私の大学のほかの交換学校よりいろんな国の学生たちがいて１年を日本人以外にも親しくなれる機会があって、良かったな~と思います。日本はほとんど韓国と似ていると言われますけど、意外に違うところも多かったんです。お盆とか神社とかお正月の飾りも面白いし、微妙に意識の違いがありました。あるところでは、日本じゃなくて中国やほかの国の文化もいいな~と思った時もあります。I enjoyed getting to know students from various countries in this class.  Japan and Korea are said to be very similar but I noticed many differences: the obon holiday, shine (jinja) decorations, etc.  I also found myself being attracted to the culture of China and other countries in this class.
2. わたしはゼミの中の授業であまり積極的に発言できていない。もっと発言できる勇気を持ちたい。授業やプライベートで日本人は留学生に英語で話したくて、留学生は日本人に日本語で話したくてなど摩擦は起きていると思う。私は個人的に中国からの留学生に中国語で話したいと思う。I didn't speak very much in this class.  I wish I had had the courage to speak more.  I think sometimes there may be some friction among students because the Japanese students want to speak English and the exchange students want to speak Japanese.  Personally, I would like to speak Chinese with the Chinese students.
3. During my study in Japan I found interesting things about one class. In this class, we learn how to write a formal letter, mostly for business relation. . . . It would be nice to have such a class in high schools and universities, so that students would have confidence not only in oral presentation, but also in their writings. 正式なビジネスレターの書き方を学んだ授業に興味がありました。. . .  高校や大学にこういう授業があれば、学生は口頭発表だけでなく、文章力にも自信が持てると思います。
4. 日本のパチンコについて知りたいです。いつから始まったとか?　日本人はパチンコについてどう思うかとか？I'd like to know more about pachinko.  When did it start?  What do Japanese people think about it?
5. I know in America, when people are thrust into a new situation, they usually act somewhat shy and self-conscious, and when interacting with strangers, a lot of people try to limit their interaction to the bare minimum. I was wondering what the Japanese experience is in this situation and if it is similar to the American perspective? 慣れない状況で、知らない人が多くなると、多くのアメリカ人がやや照れくさくなったり、一目を気にしたりするようになりますので、あまり話そうとしないことが多いです。日本の場合はどうでしょうか？
6. あまり留学生とコミュニケーションをとる事が出来ませんでした。今改めてなぜそうなったかを考えると、自分がシャイだったと思いました。合宿では話し、授業中も少人数のグループになった時などは話しますが、それ以外では話しませんでした。ゼミ以外であまり会わなかったということもありますが、留学生は日本語を日本人は英語を勉強するために留学生との友達の関係が、もう少し深くなるとよかったような気がします。今思い付いた解決策は、留学生と日本人でグループを作り、何かゲームや発表などをして二人の仲を良くすることが、留学生と日本人が深い友達になれていいような気がしました。I wasn't able to communicate very well in this class.  As I think about the reason, it occurs to me now that I was feeling pretty shy.  In a camp or in a small group situation I can talk with other people but it's hard for me to do so in other situations.  One problem may have been that we didn't see each other outside of class much.  I think it would have been good if the exchange students could have learned Japanese from us as we learned English from them.  Perhaps classroom games or presentations would have been a good way to make friends and learn from each other.
7. I enjoyed to talk abt how to start hanging out with ppl who you LOVE at Bakery Lol  Japanese is kinda crazy as you know * haha however I think we need to say something for starting their story. In fact, i had started do that w/o say 付き合ってください lol 
8. 昨日授業で外では中国語で話さないといったが、なぜならというと、私には一番大きな理由は浮いてしまうような気がするからです。でも、もう1つの理由があります。以前聞いた話なんだけど、日本人同士は外国人の前でその人が分かる言語でしゃべるということです。そうするほうがマナーがいいと思っているのです。
9. 私が今学期の授業で一番印象深かったことは、島田伸介芸能界引退のときのヤクザがらみの話でした。昨今熊本では、暴力団撤廃条例（だったような？）なるものが発令され、今ではいかなる企業や飲食店、宅急便などでも暴力団とかかわりを持つことを禁止されました。しかし私は暴力団との係わり合いはなくならないんだろうなと思ってしまいます。I was interested in the issue of yakuza and Shimada Shinsuke's retirement. I doubt that the new measures will succeed in making a significant impact on organized crime in Japan.
10. 私はゼミの授業で一番楽しかったのは小人数のグループで話をしたことが一番楽しかったです。. . . 恋愛について格国はどう違うのかが聞きたいです。ｗｗｗｗ たとえば、男の人のマーナの行動とか女の場合はどの行動までが猫をかぶってるのか　など？ｗｗｗｗ
