I found question 10 to be particularly interesting. "Would you choose work over friends and family?" Presumably the more "manly" man will choose work over family. Like Kie mentioned, many of the criteria for manliness also seem to be the criteria for economic growth and population growth. (both of which are environmentally unsustainable) Since the popular media is perpetuating these stereotypes about masculinity, I doubt that the parallels being asserted by this kind of list are coincidental. Does society really want to shame men into having more children to leave home with mom while they go out drinking with the boss? What's good for the economy isn't always what's good for people or families.
