Trip (ゼミ旅行)

• 去年は水俣～楽しかったです！海の季節なのでやっぱ天草がいいかもですね！(Last year, Minamata was fun! July is a good time to go to the ocean so Amakusa might be good.) (TOMOMI ^_^ /)
• 私は人吉よりも近い天草がいいと思います。私自身あまり詳しくはないし、キリスト教が伝わった土地として留学生たちも勉強しやすいのではないかと思うからです。(I would rather go to Amakusa than Hitoyoshi. I myself don't know much about the spread of Christianity in Amakusa and think it would be easy for the foreign students to study.) (capricciosa)
• 今年はぜひ天草に行きたいです。天草はキリスト教が伝えられた都市として有名ですし、なにかと勉強することはたくさんあると思います。日本のことをあまり知らない留学生のみなさんも興味深い事がたくさんだと思います。(This year I would like to go to Amakusa. • ゼミ旅行ですが、人吉と水俣だったら人吉がいいです。去年と同じことを勉強するより新しいことを勉強したいです。個人的には、天草などでキリスト教の宣教活動などについて学ぶことに興味があります。(If I had to choose between Minamata and Hitoyoshi, I'd choose Hitoyoshi because we went to Minamata last year. • I found that Minamata is an interesting place. And it is not too difficult to get there. I want to learn more about Minamata's issue. Because water pollution problem occured almost entire part of the world. (水俣に興味があります。あまり遠くありませんし、世界中で水の汚染が重要な問題になっていますので、水俣問題についてもっと学びたいと思います。) (nareevisut)

Herbivorous guys (草食系男子)

• なぜ今草食男子が流行っているのか疑問に思いました。私自身は、見ていて寒気がしました。（笑）(I wondered why herbivorous men would be popular. Actually, the program made me shudder. Ha ha.) (YOKO'S BLOG☆)
• 自分は草食男子とか絶対に嫌！！！！！！！って思ってたけど、なんだかんだいって該当する男子は私の友人にも結構いるしその子たちのことをそんなに嫌だと感じたことはないな。と思いました。今回の例はちょっと極端すぎたと思うけど。("I hate herbivorous guys!!" is what I used to think but, actually, now that I think about it, a lot of my friends are like that and they're not so bad. The examples in the video were pretty extreme, though.) (たったたたた～☆)
• A lot of people looked confused/uncomfortable watching it. I however, saw these sweet, kind, down-to-earth, family-orientated men who were more than happy to talk about their girlfriends' appearances and go shopping with them; and an almost cloying - but somehow not unpleasant - feeling of.... almost-love(!!) came over me. （ビデオを見て、戸惑っている人が多かったように思います。しかし、私はガールブレンドとショッピングをしたり、ファッションについて話したりしてくれるこのやさしい、気取らない、家族を大事にする男たちを見ていて、いつのまにか・・・何となく・・・「大好き！！」に近い感情に襲われました。）(i can't think of a decent title xd)
• 番組の中でアンケートがあり、その結果と自分のNOの数を照らし合わせると自分は草食系男子だという事になった。確かに自分はナンパをすることもないし、自分から告白することも少ない。だが自分は草食系ではないと思っている。ただ自分の中ではあまりガツガツするのは見苦しいという考えがある。(I answered "NO" to a lot of the survey questions so I'm supposedly "herbivorous." It's true that I don't pick up girls and am reluctant to tell a girl how I feel about her. But I don't think of myself as "herbivorous." It's just that I think it's unseemly to be overly aggressive.) • オーストラリアの語学学校で色々な国の人たちと一緒に勉強したのですが、日本以外から来た生徒は積極的に発言したり、質問したりしていて・・・(I studied at a language school in Australia with students from many different countries. All of the students were very active in speaking up in class and asking questions . . . except the Japanese.) (YOKO'S BLOG☆)
